KING EDWARD VII ISSUE Re-entries 1903-1908 One Cent Green Two Cents // Five Cents // Seven Cents // Ten Cents While the 5¢ Edward receives most of the catalogue attention, there are a great number of marvelous re-entries and retouches to be found on the humble little one cent value. I start off with a pair of wonderful misplaced entries, followed by a couple of eye-popping major re-entries that equal any found on the other values. These are followed with a selection of major re-entries and re-entries that are in some ways similar and yet all different, exhibiting a terrific range of items to be found. Many, many more exist, in all states of strength and extents, but those shown here are representative of the many kinds that are out there, and no effort at completeness can possibly be attempted. |

Scott #89 Major Misplaced Entry 1 This stamp shows a lovely upwards shift of 0.8 mm, with remnants of the top frameline in the upper margin, marks in various letters of CANADA POSTAGE, and a particularly nicely doubled right ermine tail.

Scott #89 Major Misplaced Entry 2 This stamp shows a full 1.0 mm shift downwards. The two heavy marks in the lower margin are the bottoms of the two 1's, and there are traces of the bottom frameline below them. There are also marks in the white oval above the 'E' of 'ONE.'

*3 | Scott #89 Misplaced Entry 3 Note the odd, curved marks in the white oval above the 'O' of POSTAGE, as well as the doubling of the 'PO' itself. The upper right corner of the outer frame also shows evidence of a twisted doubling.

Scott #89 Major Re-entry 4 This is a more ‘typical’ type of re-entry, many of which are found on the 1¢ King Edward. I consider them of major status if some of the lettering is doubled as well.
